The two sunbonnet quilts are now finished.

They didn’t turn out too badly.

One top finished.

    Those Sunbonnet Sue quilts are absolutely fabulous!! Do you do the applique with an embroidery machine or are you just that good with satin stitching on your machine? I’m completely jealous either way. I’m a big Sunbonnet Sue fan, so I hope you had fun with her.

      I have had lots of practice with satin stitch. It is just a case of setting the tension etc and learning a bit of control. I have one very expensive Pfaff machine that will not satin stitch over more than one layer of applique. However I have one that I bought in 1984 and that one will sew over any number of layers. As with anything else, practice is the key.
